Our Mission
The mission of the Osceola Police Department is to protect life and property, reduce crime, and enhance the quality of life for all residents. The department strives to build a strong partnership with the community to ensure public safety and foster an environment of trust and mutual respect.
Divisions and Services
The department is organized into three main divisions to effectively serve the community:
- Patrol Division: The largest division, responsible for regular patrols, traffic control, and rapid response to emergencies, accidents, and other reported violations. The high visibility of patrol units on city streets serves as a key deterrent to crime.
- Criminal Investigation Division (CID): This division consists of investigators who are tasked with gathering information and evidence to solve crimes. They work to present a clear case for prosecution and collaborate with other law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Jail Division: The Osceola City Jail can house up to 56 adult inmates. Civilian personnel manage the daily operations of the jail, which also participates in a program that utilizes state inmates for maintenance and operational duties, helping to relieve pressure on the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
In addition to these core services, the department is dedicated to maintaining a safe community through proactive enforcement, community outreach, and providing a quick and professional response to all calls for service.
